NEW BUS SHELTER AT RESIDENT REQUEST
The Parish Council have responded to requests from local residents who requested a bus shelter at their bus stop on Blackpool Road opposite to Aldfield Avenue. Gone are the days of residents standing getting wet from the rain and being splashed by passing traffic as they waited for their bus. The new shelter has been in the main funded by the Parish Council with a small contribution from Preston City Council, who were unable to pay for it in full. Whilst the Parish Council will own this new shelter, Preston City Council have agreed as part of the deal, to undertake general routine maintenance.
The Parish Council have now opened the green to dog users and are currently looking at other enhancements in order to help provide improved facilities for the use of residents.
